I designed elegant and bespoke jewellery packaging for Happy Creative, focusing on enhancing the unboxing experience. Explore the journey from concept to final product, showcasing how I brought the brand’s vision to life.

Objective

This project aims to address the problem of jewellery tangling or getting damaged during travel by introducing durable packaging that doubles as a travel jewellery box.

Insight

Jewellery wearers can become frustrated with outdated ways of travelling with their jewellery as it doesn’t keep their jewellery safe from damage/tangling.

Concept

“Lasting Moments”

This idea suggests that packaging can be more than just temporary. It can become a memorable part of using a jewellery box, protecting special items.

Solution

A travel jewellery box and packaging all in one. Necklaces and bracelets wrap around the inner circle while rings and small earrings go in the centre compartment.

Reflection

The development of the Happy Creative luxury jewellery packaging, which doubles as a travel jewellery box, was driven by research highlighting the needs of environmentally conscious young consumers. The design addresses issues like jewellery tangling and damage during transit by incorporating a multi-compartment system for protection and easy access. This packaging aligns with the target audience's preference for eco-friendly, artisanal products, using durable, recyclable materials. Inspired by Happy Creative's beach theme, the aesthetic features a luxurious watercolour design on high-quality paper. The layered packaging design gradually reveals the brand, building anticipation until the jewellery is unveiled as the final 'prize.'
